Introduction

This page shows all the details of a Quick Check submission. This is also the place to add internal case notes and where you can chat directly with the website visitor about any associated fraud related to the submission.

Submission Details Header

The most important submission information can be found here. Every submission is given a fraud score which is how likely a submission is found to be fraudulent. While the fraud score may go past 10, the scale should be thought of as 0 to 10 with 10 being almost certainly fraud. Details including the time, URL, fraud score, remediation status, owner, result, fraud potential, reason, tags and identified fraud status are in this section at the top. The following actions can be taken with their respective buttons: Remediate :: This is a status flag attached to the submission that lets the user know that the fraud has been fixed and handled properly. Each test can only be remediated once. Confirm Fraud :: This is the status flag attached to the submission that confirms it as a fraudulent submission. A submission can only be confirmed as fraudulent once. Set Tag :: This will apply internal tags against a submission for easier searching and labeling. Assign Case :: This button lets the user assign the owner of the submission. Standard users can only self-assign, while admin users can assign to any user under the account.

Bot Buster Recorded Details

The Recorded Submission Details section contains detailed information recorded within the browser at the time the test was submitted. Each Quick Check submission is given an ID to identify it. When investigating a fraudulent submission, these details are invaluable. Of importance are the DeviceID, User Agent, OS, New Device, Associated Device, Bot Details, and the Additional BB Security Actions Taken. The DeviceID can be clicked to show the full browser fingerprint and all recorded browser details. This is helpful when investigating specific technical information.

Additional Bot Buster Security Actions Taken

This table identifies any Bot Buster additional security actions taken by the website visitor when completing the Quick Check.

Test Image With Results

This section shows the test image itself and where it was clicked/swiped. Any collections created by your organization will also show the correct area for that particular test. The instruction text shown to the user is also shown.

Internal Notes and Remediation Steps Taken

This section allows the user to create internal notes associated with the submission. These are never shared publicly. These case notes provide an audit trail of the investigation and remediation of any identified fraud.

Customer Chat

This section offers a live chat where a user can message the website visitor directly to discuss any findings on fraud. The chat only becomes available once a test has been identified as fraudulent. After a case is remediated, the messaging function is disabled, but the chat history is still available.
